How to Connect With Your Audience to Drive 7x More Engagements: Free 5-day Storytelling Challenge

WHY?

Hi! I'm Sarah Panus, a senior content strategist and Minnesota mom of two kiddos.  I’ve been thinking about ways I can use my 17 years of experience to help other moms/dads working in content marketing roles who feel overwhelmed or confused about their brand storytelling strategy. How I can help you grow during these challenging times, be more valuable to your customers, to your company/brand, and give you a bit of sanity that comes from feeling clearer about your work.

In my career, I've realized you can advance quicker by leaning-in and sharpening your skills.  Accelerate your learning curve by getting knowledge from others who have been there/done that. Ask Qs and expose your vulnerabilities to better connect with your audience/peers; be a hand raiser. A lot of people have helped me throughout my career, so I'd like to teach it forward.

When life hands you an obstacle, do you get bitter or get better?

If you're here, something about this resonates with you. We're kindred spirits.

What will the challenge cover?

I polled my network to ask what topic would help them most right now, and the overwhelming response was to go deeper into a freebie I offer here on my site called  6 QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF BEFORE CREATING ANY PIECE OF BRANDED CONTENT

So, I'd like to invite you to join me as I dig a bit deeper into my tried & true tips and give you actionable advice to implement for your brand to better connect with your audience and drive up to 7x better engagements.

  1. Audience Clarity

  2. Picking Your 3 Storytelling Pillars

  3. Empathy-filter Brainstorming

  4. SEO Insights/Data Discovery

  5. CTA Identification

  6. Channels & Formats for Scale/Max Results

I'll keep it as simple as possible, so you can manage between work and feeding your kids (they eat constantly, right?!?!). Challenge occurs in a private Facebook group. I'll record a daily LIVE video and assign you a small (but powerfully helpful) homework exercise to help you think through your own storytelling strategy.

The only catch? You just have to sign up before the Challenge begins 6/1/20. Not much of a catch, huh?

WHO is sarah panus?

Good question.  I'm a Minnesota-based mom and founder of Kindred Speak LLC, a Content Marketing and Influencer Marketing consulting company.

For 17 years I've helped brands ID ways to connect with their audiences to generate engagements and $$$ millions in sales via all kinds of storytelling formats: PR, Social, Blogs, Influencers, Videos, SEO, and large third-party Media Partnerships including Katie Couric Media, Thrive Global, HGTV, etc.

I'd love to help you. Storytelling strategy is my passion because stories create empathy. And, empathy is the fastest way to connect with your audience's hearts and minds.  I lean heavily into quantitative insights and an “empathy-filter” to help guide your organization's storytelling framework and inform: what you should talk about, who should say it, editing & project management, how to integrate across channels, and how to measure business impact.

how much time will it take?

  • Plan for one hour per day, June 1-5, 2020.

  • 30 minutes to watch my Facebook LIVE video with tips/insights each day + 30 minutes to do the daily homework assignment.

  • The homework assignments will be manageable to give you actions to think about as you level-up your storytelling strategy to better connect with your audiences and drive stronger results. To be honest, they're things you'll want to spend more time refining later, but I'll help give you a solid start.

I worked with more than a dozen clients through Contently, and Sarah was one of the most organized content leaders on my service roster. She deeply understands her audience, takes time to consider what inspires them, and creates strategies that speak to them. Her communication with writers and editors like myself, from schedules and calendars to feedback, was helpful and supportive. Her flexibility and openness to embracing ideas was truly refreshing. I worked with Sarah for several years, and would work with her on new projects anytime.

I had the pleasure of working with Sarah in her role as Senior Manager of Content Marketing Strategy as well as Senior Editorial Manager. Sarah was always a pleasure to work with. She was a wonderful partner who works cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals. She has a unique talent in using each department's strengths to build teamwork and achieve high-performance. During my interactions with her, she revolutionized Sleep Number's storytelling by interacting with our most loyal customers and finding unique and interesting ways for them to share their love of the product. This strategy contributed to improved sales by improving repeat, referral sales and drive new business. Sarah makes a difference and I highly recommend working with her.
